Enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the Japanese garden before returning to your vehicle.
Next, head to Dotonbori, the lively heart of Osaka's entertainment and food scene. Explore its neon-lit streets at your own pace, take photos at the iconic Ebisu Bridge, and absorb the energy of this bustling district renowned for its tasty street food, excellent shopping, and brilliant city life.
Before concluding the tour, enjoy a brief photo stop in Shinsekai, a nostalgic district famous for its retro charm and the landmark Tsutenkaku Tower. This area offers a glimpse into Osaka's past and great backdrops for memorable photos.
Notes:
This tour is designed to be accessible for all guests, including those using a wheelchair (the tour operator suggests you bring a companion to assist, as guides are not allowed to push wheelchairs). Only non-ambulatory guests using a wheelchair that requires specific accommodations, such as a lift/ramp and wheelchair anchor on the transportation, can book this tour, as it ensures accessible transportation; guests using a collapsible wheelchair and able to board the coach via the steps must book Accessible Osaka: A Majestic Castle, Neon Dreams & Nostalgic Streets (Companion). Companions can book the same tour under the title Accessible Osaka: A Majestic Castle, Neon Dreams & Nostalgic Streets (Companion). The tour route avoids stairs; however, the nature of access may differ from the standards you are familiar with at home. Accessible bathrooms with wide doors are available along the tour route. An accessible vehicle with a wheelchair lift or ramp is used for transportation. The number of accessible vehicles available is extremely limited; make your accessible shore excursion reservations as far in advance as possible. Guests requiring accessible transportation, please complete the Special Services form at https://book.hollandamerica.com/specialServices/login.action; this will ensure that suitable transportation is in place for your tour.
