Transfer by speedboat to Motag, located in Malay, and visit the first living museum in the Philippines. Step back in time and see the Philippines as it was before colonization and Independence changed its political and physical landscapes forever.
Enjoy an informative and interactive insight into farming methods — you can try your hand at plowing, harrowing, planting, threshing, pounding and cooking rice. Join in some traditional Philippine games. Channel your inner kid and feel at home among the tree houses, playing on the swings and learning how to make toys from coconut leaves or walking tall on coconut shells.
Notes:
Tour transfer is by speedboat then by Van from Caticlan Port to the Motag Living Museum. Tour requires extensive physical activity. Terrain includes even and uneven surfaces, cobblestones, inclines, gravel, grass, and steps. Suitable only for guests in good physical condition. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. The vans used are local commuter vans used in the island. Bring insect repellent. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable sunscreen. Bring bottled water. Tour operates rain or shine, but may be canceled by the operator in the event of extremely bad weather or unsuitable conditions. Limited tourism infrastructure is part of the charm here; you are trading breadth of guide experience for authentic interaction. Please bring your spirit of adventure and bear with any language difficulties or operational surprises that may crop up.
