Along for the ride through Kodiak's entire story, from boom to bust and back again, the island's bars serve up far more than just your favorite libation. Indeed, these establishments have acted as banks, employment centers, community halls, barbers, and private homes, adopting an alter ego as Kodiak's social glue for more than a century.
Belly up to the bar in Alaska's oldest licensed establishment, dating back to 1899. Sip your way through the journey with both a beverage and a strong shot of storytelling. Two beverages are included, and you'll leave infinitely better informed about the extraordinary community of Kodiak, Alaska.
