The Reventazon River is your best choice for easy-access, short rafting runs on the Caribbean Coast.
The El Carmen section, which you will raft today, offers Class II+ moderate white water with fun sets of wave trains, lush surroundings and abundant bird life. It is a great introduction to river running because, at this point, the river enters the true lower Caribbean rainforest; the rapids are gentler and the surroundings take on a true jungle character. The wildlife is also quite plentiful here.
Another characteristic of this section is that it maintains very consistent water levels -- perhaps the perfect adventure for families with children, senior participants, and first-time rafters.
A hearty snack is served back at the base camp after your descent.
