A scenic drive through Andalusia's olive plantations brings you to Seville -- Spain's fourth-largest city — where you'll pause briefly at Plaza España and Maria Luisa Park.
Then, follow your guide on a walk through the Old Town to arrive at the Alcazar of Seville — built as a fortress to protect the Muslim authorities. This is currently the oldest Royal Palace in use in Europe. Its extensive history is reflected in the variety of its architecture, where Baroque blends with Renaissance, Romantic, Gothic and Mudejar styles.
Continuing your adventure on foot, you will enjoy a light tapas lunch served at a local restaurant. Then, finish the tour with a scenic ride back to Cádiz and the ship.
Notes:
Travel time to Seville is approximately 1½ hours each way. The cathedral is closed on Sundays; an outside view only will be substituted. Tour sequence may vary. Use of an audio headset (included) will enhance your tour experience. The Alcazar is the official residence of the Royal family in Seville and can be closed for security reasons without notice; a visit to the Casa Pilatos will be substituted.
