Enjoy a drive through Barcelona as well as a spicy flamenco dance demonstration.
Flamenco is not just a dance style but an art form that became increasingly popular in Spain during the early 1900s. It is known that in the 18th Century, the Gypsies used Flamenco as an expression of oppression, sometimes even without music.
The heel stamping ‘Taconeo’, the hand clapping ‘Palmas Sordas’ and the finger snapping ‘Pitos’ are what most people associate with the sounds of Flamenco. The unique Flamenco guitar is the most common accompanying instrument.
The tour will start with a panoramic drive through Montjuic and then you will continue to the WTC, to start the walking to Tablao Tarantos, to enjoy an amazing lively Flamenco entertainment. Upon arrival at the Tablao you’ll be shown to your table and greeted with a welcome drink. Sit back and soak up the electric atmosphere as you are treated to a mesmerizing performance of this Spanish art form.
Essential information: Casual evening attire is acceptable. No tank tops, shorts or revealing clothing are allowed. Additionally, to the walking involved on this tour, guests must be able to negotiate steps on and off the coach.
Enjoy a 30-minute Flamenco dance performed by four stylish, professional artists. Savor the cultural show as you taste dry Spanish wine.
