Surf, sun and shopping beckon with an inviting all-day excursion to Maspalomas Beach.
Your day begins with an hour-long air-conditioned motorcoach panoramic drive along the coast to the southernmost tip of Gran Canaria.
Leaving the coach, you're just steps away from a gentle coastline boasting sand dunes, wide sandy beaches, and crystal-clear waters.
Head to the beach, visit the 125-year-old Faro de Maspalomas lighthouse (at your own expense), or explore the Charca de Maspalomas coastal saltwater lagoon — a haven for seabirds feeding on insects and fish.
The restaurants and cafés of Maspalomas offer a wide variety of international cuisine. Canarian specialties such as ropa vieja (chicken and beef mixed with potatoes and garbanzo beans) and a salted fish dish called sancocho are two popular options.
After a day of fun in the sun, rejoin the motorcoach and return to the pier.
Notes:
This tour is escorted but not guided. You will have approximately five hours of free time at the beach. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. Lunch is not included. You will have time to purchase lunch at your own expense during the tour.
