Depart Haifa pier for a one-hour drive through the Jezre'el Valley to Nazareth, the childhood home of Jesus. The City of the Annunciation, Nazareth is revered as the spot where the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, telling her that she would bear the Son of God. Your visit includes the Church of the Annunciation, built on the site where Mary lived and where she received Gabriel's message.
You will also see the Church of St Joseph, dedicated to the earthly father of Jesus, built where Joseph's carpentry workshop is believed to have stood. Below ground level, an important Judeo-Christian baptismal basin is preserved.
Drive on via Cana, where Jesus performed his first miracle, turning water into wine at a wedding, to the Sea of Galilee. Enjoy lunch here on your own (not included).
In the afternoon, drive to Tabgha to visit the Church of Peter's Primacy by the lake, and to Capernaum. See St Peter's house and the ancient synagogue where Jesus taught.
Continue to the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus gave his Sermon on the Mount, and then to the Yardenit baptismal site on the Jordan River.
After exploring the Galilee region, you'll return to your ship in Haifa port.
