Savor the flavors, stories, and spirits of Barbados. Whether you are a food lover, a culture seeker, or simply craving a taste of the island, this experience offers a true slice of Bajan life.
Transfer to an Eco-Adventure Park for the Mount Gay rum tasting experience. Your host familiarizes you with Mount Gay Rum, which many believe is synonymous with Barbados' rich history. Watch the inspiring eight-minute Discover Barbados video showcasing the natural beauty of the island. Sample a selection of three Mount Gay rums, discussing each rum's unique characteristics, distillation processes, and cultural significance.
Now, you're cooking! Step into the Culinary Room, where you are paired with an individual workstation stocked with local ingredients and utensils. With guidance from a culinary host, try your hand at preparing authentic Bajan favorites such as flying fish, green banana, and rum-glazed bread pudding, all while learning about the traditions and tales behind each dish.
Relax and devour your handmade Bajan meal, paired with a signature island cocktail. Your guide leads a casual wrap-up discussion, where you're invited to share any highlights from the experience and the traditions of the island.
