Onboard Credit is a kind of spending money that can be used on Holland America ships. If you receive an Onboard Credit, you can use it for almost anything on board, including:
Spa services, such as a massage
Specialty restaurant meals
Shore excursions
Coffee and alcoholic beverages
Boutique purchases (such as clothing or jewelry)
Crew appreciation, service charges, and additional tip
Refundability and casino rules
Depending on the type, Onboard Credit may not be refundable at the end of your cruise
Only non-promo credits can be used for casino play (cash and chips)
Onboard Credit cannot be used for cash withdrawals at the Guest Services Desk
If you have refundable Onboard Credit remaining
Any remaining refundable Onboard Credits due at the end of the voyage will be emailed to guests via a link for the refund. For details, refer to: “How do I receive a refund or reimbursement for a credit I have on my onboard statement?”
Can I transfer unused promotional credits to another booking?
Promotional credits are applied on a per booking basis and are not transferable between bookings. If you are sailing back-to-back on separate booking numbers, any unused promotional credits from one booking cannot be carried over to the next.
Can I withdraw onboard credits as cash?
Cash withdrawals are only permitted for non-promotional onboard credits. Promotional credits have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn as cash.
