Zoo immersion is a new concept in habitat design that allows you to observe zoo animals as if there were no visible barriers. It makes for a great day out for the whole family.
Benidorm's Terra Natura Park is divided into four large areas: the Pangea, America, Asia and Europe and is home to more than 1,500 animals and 200 different species, of which 50 are critically endangered. There are also 2,500 examples of 160+ plant species.
Don't miss the special dark areas for nocturnal animals and an enclosure for venomous animals.
The park offers optional activities (at your own expense), including interaction with some of the animals. Food and beverage outlets offer fare from each continent.
Notes:
Coolers larger than 20cm x 30cm x 20cm and plastic bags of any size cannot be brought into the zoo. Smoking is not allowed. Eating and drinking are welcome in designated areas. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable/reef-safe sunscreen. Bring bottled water.
