Travel the English motorway (freeway) to London, where upon arrival you’ll step into the festive atmosphere of the city. Join your guide for an enjoyable walk through some of London's most iconic streets and neighborhoods.
Stroll along The Mall before continuing to Piccadilly Circus and Regent Street, London's first purpose-built shopping street. Here, admire the spectacular "Spirit of Christmas" light display, with illuminated angels soaring above the avenue and thousands of twinkling lights creating a truly magical setting. Along the way, your guide will share fascinating insights into British Christmas traditions and how they have evolved over the centuries.
Continue past the renowned Fortnum & Mason department store and through the elegant Burlington Arcade before arriving at Leicester Square Christmas Market. Enjoy free time to browse the festive stalls, shop for seasonal gifts, sample holiday treats, or simply soak up the atmosphere.
After your time at leisure, rejoin your motor coach for the return journey to the ship. If you have not had an opportunity to see the Christmas lights illuminated during your free time, your guide will ensure you have a chance to view some of the festive displays before departing central London.
Notes:
Travel time between Dover and central London is approximately 2½ hours each way. Tour involves around 2 hours of walking, additional walking is at guests’ discretion during the free time. London's Christmas lights are illuminated from 2:00pm daily. If guests do not have the opportunity to view the lights during their free time, the guide will endeavour to incorporate a viewing of selected displays during the walk back to the coach. Use of an audio headset (included) will enhance your tour experience.
