From Ísafjorður, you'll set out on a panoramic drive through the breathtaking scenery of the Westfjords area. The route takes you across an unforgiving landscape of jagged mountain ridges and narrow passes. The coast is lined with steep slopes and deep fjords, where farms and villages huddle together on narrow strips of land that reluctantly yield a living for the hardy souls that tend them. Take advantage of a number of scenic photo opportunities along the way.
The Dynjandi Waterfall itself features a tall upper cascade and tiered terraces, ending with a free-fall into the pool below. Your guide will lead you on a walk up to the falls for a closer view.

Due to Ísafjörður's remoteness and the scarcity of professional guides, all guiding is handled by locals; some are not professional, but all have great experience in guiding and extensive knowledge of the area. Approximate distance covered on foot is one mile. Terrain includes paved flat surfaces with some inclines and a few steps, as well as a few gravel paths and uneven surfaces. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf. Wear sturdy non-skid walking shoes. Parents traveling with children under the age of 3 must rent a child's car seat from the tour operator; please see the Shore Excursions team on board. You cannot use your child's car seat from home in Iceland.
