Board a motorcoach and travel to Lake Bracciano, situated in the Etruscan countryside some 20 miles northwest of Rome.
One of Italy's major lakes, Lake Bracciano is a popular and scenic spot. Actors Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were married at the magnificent Castello Orsini-Odeleschi feudal castle nearby.
Anguillara — a medieval resort town — crowns a small peninsula jutting into the lake. Enjoy some free time to explore its lakeside promenade and beaches. Photograph the town sights, including the Town Hall and the 15th-century Church of San Francesco.
Continue to the Tuscia wine country to visit a local wine estate and sample the vintages. The Etruscan countryside is also renowned for its olive oils, cheeses and cured meats — enjoy a selection of such treats with your tasting. Bottles of wine are available for purchase.
Reboard the coach for the scenic trip back to Civitavecchia.
