The Sacred Art Museum is considered one of the finest in Brazil. Explore the museum's extensive collection of 17th- and 18th-century religious art, intricately carved wood and ivory sculptures, and gold and silver relics. The museum is beautifully located in the Convent of Santa Tereza, with a superb view of All Saints Bay.
History comes alive at the Costa Pinto Museum, with its collection of colonial furniture made of jacaranda wood, and antique jewelry. Most of the objects on display once belonged to the old families of the sugar aristocracy and evoke the Golden Age of mansions and plantations in Bahia. Chronicling Bahia's rich history, this museum offers a glimpse of the colonial era.
