This unforgettable day combines relaxation and adventure.
After a short transfer, cross a private bridge and transfer to Big French Key Beach Club. The resort is located on a remote, private island that offers a tropical, white sandy beach surrounded by lush mangroves palms, untouched coral reefs and clear water. Enjoy a tropical welcome fruit punch upon arrival.
Your 45-minute guided snorkel adventure will be operated by boat just a short distance away from a mysterious shipwreck, a beautiful shallow reef, and a dramatic wall. You will be divided into groups, and each group assigned to a snorkel guide who provides your gear (fins, snorkel, mask, and snorkel flotation vest). Beginner snorkelers receive extra attention with a demonstration of proper fit and use will be given along with a safety briefing. Depending upon the weather conditions and visibility, your guide will decide if you’ll head to the shipwreck site, which involves some swimming and occasional currents (by boat or swimming) or remain at the shallow reef -- nearer but still excellent.
After your time in the water, make use of the freshwater showers near the beach. Then, simply relax in a chaise with the blue Caribbean gently lapping at the broad sandy beach, do a little shopping, or take a walk along the nature trail with your guide in search of iguanas.
Notes:
Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. Minimum age is 8 years; maximum age is 72 years.
