Enjoy off-roading on a UTV over the Sandy Plains of San Pedro — Curaçao's mini desert with orange-colored sand — with a drive past the island's famous windmills.
On one side, the Caribbean Sea pounds with great force against the rocky north shore. On the other side, limestone plateaus hide many caves. Kueba bos di San Antonio is a cave that formed below the waterline and, as the sea level dropped over millions of years, its entrance became exposed. Head into the cave and learn more about the stalagmites and stalactites that reside within.
Heading back toward Willemstad, watch for the St Willibrodus salt plains — fantastic flamingo habitat. You may spot some flamingos from the transportation.
Pause for a 30-minute beach break at Daai Booi Beach. This small bay on the west side of the island is a favorite destination for snorkeling enthusiasts.
Notes:
Minimum age is 21 years. Maximum weight is 300 lbs. Bring a valid driver's license if you wish to drive the UTV. Mobility devices (wheelchairs, walkers, scooters, etc) cannot be accommodated on the transportation. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. Terrain can be dusty — you may get dirty. Tour is sold per vehicle (two guests per vehicle); only one person in the party needs to purchase a ticket. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed.
