The Mingan Archipelago is yours to discover on a boat ride departing from Havre-Saint-Pierre. A scenic cruise takes you to Ile Quarry. Then, a Parks Canada heritage presenter will accompany you on a walk along the loop trail. Discover a natural botanic garden as you walk past a wide variety of habitats — shoreline, boreal forest, peat bogs, barrens and cliffs. Keep an eye out for local fauna and flora, which your guide will explain.
This island is also home to a former sea cliff, now concealed within the boreal forest. A fantastic journey awaits you as you walk to Anse des Erosions. Here, monoliths referred to as "flowerpots" resist the ravages of time and erosion.
After your walk, reboard the boat for the return trip and take time to enjoy the scenery from a brand-new perspective.
Notes:
This excursion is not recommended for guests with mobility limitations. Participants must be able to navigate steps when boarding and exiting motorcoaches with minimal or no assistance, and the park includes stairways without handrails. Duration may vary slightly. Dressing in warm layers is suggested, along with comfortable walking shoes.
