Upon arrival, enjoy morning tea or coffee at the Mt Somers Village Hall — a warm and welcoming rural venue.
Continue inland to Lake Clearwater, where you'll pause for photos at this pristine alpine lake framed by snow-dusted peaks. Travel on to Mt Potts Station — an expansive high-country farm offering panoramic views over the Southern Alps and surrounding wilderness. Take time to explore, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and appreciate the sheer scale and beauty of this remote landscape, famously used as the setting for Middle-earth's Edoras in The Lord of the Rings.
Return to Mt Somers Village Hall for a relaxed, rustic lunch.
Time permitting, visit the charming town of Geraldine, known for its artisan stores and relaxed country vibe, to browse for a souvenir or simply stretch your legs.

This is primarily a driving tour with approximately five hours of coach travel in total. There are some scenic stops along the way. Morning tea and lunch are both served at the Mt Somers Village Hall.
