On this unforgettable excursion, you'll experience everything from a temple to a walled town, a local market and stunning views from a tall tower. These are some of Yeosu's favorite destinations.
Take a guided tour of the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site, Seonamsa Temple, located at the eastern end of Jogyesan Mountain, nestled within a lush forest of diverse trees. Its arched stone bridge is supported by natural bedrock. Note the two three-story stone pagodas and absorb the traditional temple culture that remains intact today. Seonamsa Temple is lovely throughout the year, but it is especially inviting in spring and fall.
Next, you'll head to the Nagan Folk Village, which remains the best preserved of the walled fortress towns of the Chosun period (1392 - 1910). Japanese pirates often plundered the town during the late Koryo period, so an earthen wall was constructed in 1397 and replaced with a stone one in 1424. Four protruding battlements offer defense against invaders.
Finally, haggle, barter, and buy at the traditional local Yeosu Market, which sells an assortment of seafood, vegetables, and other products. The sellers are all incredibly friendly, offering you a taste of their products. Aside from raw ingredients, the market also has clothing, porcelain, traditional stamps, and even shoe stalls. It is the perfect place to experience traditional Korean market life.

This tour requires an extensive amount of walking (approximately 1.2 miles [2 km]), some of which may be over uneven surfaces and a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach.
