Take your experience to the next level with a guided walk and tea ceremony at Seonamsa Temple — a beautiful temple located at the east end of Jogyesan Mountain. This spiritual haven is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, bringing together ancient rituals of tea preparation amid peaceful surroundings.
The temple site is nestled within a lush forest of diverse trees. Its arched Seungseongyo stone bridge is supported by natural bedrock. In front of the main hall, Daeungjeon Hall, are two three-story stone pagodas vying for your attention. Seonamsa Temple is home to many of the country's pristine treasures and artifacts, and is especially inviting in spring and fall when the flowers bloom or the leaves change color.
A tea house sits along the road to the temple, in harmony with the sky, wind, water, and the forest. Experience the beauty and composure of this traditional Korean-style house, and the delicate flavor and scent of tea in this atmosphere-laden locale. The central element of your Korean tea ceremony is the ease with which you find relaxation and harmony in this age-old tradition, now enjoying a new lease on life amid the hectic pace of modern Korean culture.
Relax and enjoy the one-hour drive back to the ship.
