Overlooking the pristine southern coast of beautiful Sri Lanka, Shangri-La's Hambantota Golf Resort & Spa is located along the ancient Spice Route in a city steeped in rich history.
Enjoy a welcome drink followed by three hours of free time to enjoy the beach resort however you choose. You can relax and unwind on a comfortable easy chair, lulled by the calming swell of the ocean, or sunbathe on the beach, with plenty of sunscreen on, of course. Or why not cool off in the azure waters of the resort swimming pool?
The hotel has its own Artisan Village -- an opportunity to browse among the arts and crafts and to interact with local artists. You may even wish to play at the first and only resort golf course in Sri Lanka (at your own expense) -- a memorable golfing experience.
Notes:
Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen and a hat. Use of the swimming pool, sun beds are on a first come first served basis and these cannot be pre-reserved. This excursion is predominantly an independent day at the beach.
