Visit Old Sitka, site of the first Russian settlement on Baranof Island, where seabirds nest in droves.
Take in Sitka's coastal character at the University of Alaska campus area, with working fishing boats.
And Magic Island — a tidal peninsula — reveals tide pools, totems, and sweeping views of Mt Edgecumbe.
