Dining is included on board the cruise portion of all our cruisetours, with nominal upcharges for our onboard specialty restaurants. With a few exceptions, meals are not included on the land portion of cruisetours.

These exceptions are:

Cruisetour D2: Lunch is included on board the motorcoach transfer between Anchorage and Denali.

Cruisetour D6/R6: Lunch is included on board the motorcoach transfer between Denali and Whittier.

Cruisetours D1/R1, D3, D4, D5, D0, DH, Y1, Y2c, Y3, Y4/R4 & Y5:

A family-style lunch is included in Fairbanks as part of the Riverboat Discovery experience.

Cruisetours Y3, Y4/R4 & Y5: Lunch is included on board the motorcoach transfer between Dawson City and Whitehorse.

Tundra Wilderness Tour: All guests staying at Denali for two or three nights will receive an included snack box on the Tundra Wilderness Tour. Guests who purchase a Great Land Dining Plan will also receive a box lunch on this tour.

Guests without a Great Land Dining Plan may purchase meals as they go in the same restaurants at which the Dining Plan vouchers may be used.

Breakfasts include:

Choice of breakfast entrée and non-alcoholic beverage.

McKinley Explorer® lunch includes: 

Choice of entrée, dessert, and non-alcoholic beverage.

Tundra Wilderness Tour box lunch (Guests with an included Tundra Wilderness Tour) includes:

Choice of a turkey-and-cheese or vegetarian sandwich, a piece of fruit, Alaska Chip Company Matanuska Thunder Chips, a freshly baked cookie, and a bottle of water.

Dinners include:

Choice of soup or salad, choice of dinner entrée, dessert, and choice of nonalcoholic beverage.

Music of Denali dinner theater (for guests staying at Denali for two or three nights) includes:

The actors and actresses perform double duty as your servers during an all-you-can-eat meal served family-style. Enjoy Alaska salmon, smokehouse BBQ, mountains of mashed potatoes, and, to top it all off, apple crisp for dessert. You will leave with both a full belly and a better appreciation of the determined spirit of these early Alaska explorers.

Upon arrival to each destination,  you will receive a Welcome Packet that includes meal vouchers for that location which can be redeemed with your server or host. The meal vouchers are also usable at the Espresso stands on property for a nominal value written on the back of the voucher.

Breakfasts and dinners will be served at your hotel. If the hotel is not able to provide the included meals on location, they will provide instructions on how/where they may be accessed. An upgrade to a box lunch on the Tundra Wilderness Tour (for guests with this inclusion) and lunch on board the McKinley Explorer® railway are also included in the Great Land Dining Plan.

Your Great Land Dining Plan vouchers can be redeemed at McKinley Chalet Resort’s Karstens Public House or Canyon Steakhouse and also include a lively evening of fun at the Music of Denali dinner theater for guests staying at the resort for two or three nights.

 Yes, but the deadline to do so is currently 19 days prior to departure.

 This really depends on what you order. We price the plans knowing that many guests will shop near the top of the menu options, so for those guests the Dining Plan should generally provide a good value when compared to purchasing these meals individually; if you prefer lighter fare for breakfast and dinner, then perhaps not as much. Regardless, these Dining Plans offer the convenience and peace of mind that come from knowing your meals have been paid for in advance (including taxes and gratuities).

Unfortunately meals are not included in Seattle, Homer or Vancouver.
