This hill was named after the British Admiral Sir William Sidney Smith, who rose to fame during the French Revolutionary Wars (1792-1802). It offers a splendid panorama of the city of Rhodes.
Enjoy a guided walk through the medieval Old Town of Rhodes, beginning with the impressive city battlements. Enter through St. Catherine’s Gate and explore a remarkable collection of religious landmarks that reflect centuries of peaceful coexistence. You will see the Catholic Church of the Virgin Mary of Borgo, the Orthodox Church of St. Fanourios, and Holy Trinity Church—each shaped by Ottoman and Italian influence.
After discovering the town’s rich spiritual heritage, relax with a refreshment at a local café before returning to the pier.
