Drive via the autostrada (freeway) through countryside brimming with vineyards and olive groves to Pisa; then, set out on a 15- to 20-minute walk from the motorcoach parking area to the Field of Miracles. View the unforgettable Leaning Tower and photograph the stunning cathedral and baptistery.
Thirty minutes away is the seaside resort of Viareggio, famous for its seafood. Relax on the beach here or stroll along the town's famed promenade — open to pedestrian traffic only and lined with elegant boutiques and cafés.
Lunch in Viareggio is on your own; you can try one of the many cafés and restaurants that line the bustling streets (at your own expense).
Don't miss the chance to browse in the town's many elegant shops offering fashionable clothing and accessories.
Notes:
Tour is unguided. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. Lunch is not included. You will have time to purchase lunch at your own expense during the tour. Bring local currency, as some vendors do not accept credit cards or US dollars. Changing rooms, Wi-Fi, beach access, and swimming pool use are included. For every three guests, one sun umbrella, two deck chairs and a sunbed are provided. Most shops are closed from 1:30 to 3:30 pm. Tour does not operate on Sundays.
