Experience life on a traditional Tongan farm as Soane welcomes you to his lush organic plantation in Toula. Discover tropical produce like soursop, papaya, taro and yams, grown naturally and harvested by hand. Wander shaded paths through taro fields, banana groves, and tropical gardens while Soane shares stories of each plant, traditional farming methods, and their role in Tongan culture. Pick and taste fruit straight from the trees for a truly authentic farm experience.
Notes:
Participants should be moderately fit with full physical mobility. Shade is limited, so wear light, long clothing as a cover-up to avoid sunburn. Bring a hat and sunglasses, and use biodegradable sunscreen. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Local buses are used for transportation; these are very basic and have neither air-conditioning nor a PA system.
