Depart Timaru port and make your way to Oamaru where you will explore the historic buildings. Oamaru has a rich history and proud heritage, enriched by the passionate and perhaps quirky locals. You will find shops, galleries and traditional crafts within some of the Southern Hemisphere’s most complete Victorian streetscapes and 19th century architecture.
Next, make your way to the Moeraki Boulders, enjoy lunch and free time to explore the boulders. The Moeraki Boulders are a group of large spherical "stones" on Koekohe Beach near Moeraki on New Zealand’s Otago coast. These boulders are actually concretions that have been exposed through shoreline erosion from coastal cliffs and are one of the most fascinating and popular attractions on the South Island.
Relax on the journey back to Timaru port.
