Enjoy the best Havana has to offer, interacting with local Habañeros on this full-day tour that features the Top 10 things to see and do in Havana, including a visit to a Cuban community project.

Learn the legend behind El Cristo – an impressive a 55-foot-tall statue of Christ sculpted from Italian marble – and explore the well-preserved Fortress de San Carlos de la Cabana.

A panoramic drive whisks you along the Malecon (waterfront), past the famous Hotel Nacional and the US Embassy. See the Plaza de la Revolucion and visit Colon Cemetery, one of the largest cemeteries in the Caribbean, before stopping at Parque Central. Snap some photographs of some of Havana's most iconic architecture, including the Capitol and El Gran Teatro. Enjoy lunch, with a choice of traditional Cuban favorites, followed by dessert, at a popular local restaurant.

Recent years have seen rise to many community projects designed to promote development and growth among the Cuban people, and our Best of Havana guests will visit a community project to engage with the local residents. Learn about the locals who are taking the future of Cuba into their own hands.

Visit the Amacenes San Jose market with the opportunity to meet with local artists. Your tour ends with a visit to Old Havana's most active squares -- the Plaza de la Catedral and Plaza de Armas.

Pursuant to U.S. regulations, guests who wish to disembark in Cuba and do not qualify for other categories of authorized travel must participate in either a full-time group People to People program sponsored by either Holland America Line or a third-party U.S. sponsoring organization. 

After guests have completed their required full-time schedule of People to People activities, they are welcome to explore Cuba on their own or participate in evening Holland America Line excursions (not designed to be People to People programs).
