Take a short air-conditioned coach ride to a world-class attraction -- the Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory, voted the Number One Attraction in Key West for the past two years by the People's Choice Awards.

Your trip to Key West may not feel complete without a walk through this tropical paradise, where you will witness hundreds of free-flying butterflies and exotic colorful birds from around the world in a glass-enclosed, climate controlled conservatory.

To set the stage before you enter their world, spend time in the Learning Center where you can view a 15-minute award-winning film that describes the anatomy, physiology and life cycle of the butterfly.

Relax and enjoy a magical, one-of-a-kind experience as you walk among some of the most beautiful creatures in nature and stroll against a backdrop of lush flowers, trees, orchids and cascading waterfalls.

The gift shop and gallery offer a wide variety of unique nature related gifts.

Head to Mallory Square and the Key West Aquarium by air-conditioned coach. By way of contrast to the modern conservatory, the Aquarium is Key West’s oldest attraction, dating back to 1935. It is home to hundreds of different species of local sea-life and includes touch tanks where kids of all ages are encouraged to enjoy a hands-on experience with the local Florida Keys sea life.

The Aquarium is also home to a wide variety of fish including grouper, moray eels, barracuda, tropical fish, tarpon, sharks and parrotfish.

Shark feedings occur daily at 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 4:30pm. You will even be able to pet a live shark.
