Experience some of the best Hilo has to offer on this small-group, half-day adventure. Take in dramatic views of three of Hilo's famed waterfalls, walk through a lava tube, and search for the endangered Hawaiian green sea turtle on a black sand beach.

Your adventure begins with a trip back in time, with your interpretive guide narrating the history of Hilo as you drive along the historic waterfront to an old sugar cane plantation headquarters. You will also travel into the gulch behind Honoli'i Beach Park -- one of the island's most popular surf breaks -- where a hidden waterfall lies right beneath the road.

Explore OK Farms -- one of the largest tropical fruit farms in the United States. The private gazebo here offers amazing views of world-famous Rainbow Falls. Make sure you venture to the farm store, where you'll have the opportunity to buy locally produced Macadamia nuts, coffee and other tasty treats.

Leaving the farm, grab a flashlight and follow your guide down into the depths of the Kaumana Cave -- a lava tube that once served as a pipeline for volcanic lava to travel down the mountain.

Finally, you'll finish up with a stroll down Richardson's Beach. This beautiful black-sand cove serves as a sanctuary for the Hawaiian green sea turtle.
