Indulge your senses in one of Dunedin's most beautiful places. Glenfalloch is hidden in a lush garden on the spectacular Otago Peninsula and is one of Dunedin's top restaurants. Run by chef Hannes Bareiter, who has worked in several international five-star restaurants, the kitchen here creates visually-stunning cuisine focused on seasonal ingredients.

Your outing begins with a guided stroll through some of Glenfalloch's 30 acres of historical grounds, winding your way through magnolias, native ferns, and exotic imports. Soak in the tranquility as you check out the panoramic harbor views and listen to the sounds of native birdlife. Be sure to check out the 1,000-year-old matai tree that's part of the New Zealand Notable Tree Register.

Back indoors, surrender yourself to Glenfalloch's signature 'Trust the Chef' lunch experience, where Chef Bareiter prepares a menu that showcases imaginatively-crafted, innovative dishes using fresh local produce from artisanal suppliers. Each dish is paired with carefully-chosen New Zealand wines to create an outstanding culinary experience.

Notes:

The meal starts with an arrival drink and is a three-course tasting menu with matching wines. Coffee and tea are served afterwards. The menu is subject to change based on seasonal produce and availability. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
