Visit the Domingos Martins area, located just 30 miles from Vitória. This region is best known for its strong German colony, which still maintains its own unique customs and traditions.

Your first stop is at the Schwanbach Winery, where you’ll have the opportunity to taste a number of wines and liqueurs -- your host will inform you of some of their unusual origins as you sip.

The Iglecia Matriz Lutheran Church was the first church in Brazil to be built with a tower. All the former friars of Iglecia Matriz are buried on the church grounds.

As you drive through the shopping district you’ll see the many handicraft shops and boutiques that line the streets and catch a glimpse of the Imperador Hotel -- the oldest hotel in the state.

Enjoy a traditional German-style lunch at a local restaurant.

Return journey to Vitória, stopping along the way at the Nego Orchidarium to see some rare and wonderful species of orchid, some of which are available for purchase.

Your guide will do his/her best to speak English, but please keep in mind that the limited tourism infrastructure of Vitória is part of the city’s charm, and bear with any language difficulties he/she may encounter. Tour may be conducted by a Portuguese-speaking guide and an English-language translator.
