The Hawke's Bay province is a land of serious beauty and fun foodie experiences. Vineyards compete with kiwifruit and apple orchards, jacaranda trees drip with brilliant purple flowers (in season), swans glide through the wetlands, and Art Deco buildings paint a quaint picture of paradise. On the coast, jagged promontories rise hundreds of feet above the water.

One of the highlights of a visit to Hawke's Bay is meeting Juliet Harbutt -- the award-winning food writer and world-class cheese expert who leads insider tours of this stunning region.

On this four-hour exploration, you'll visit Juliet's favorite places, including artisanal food producers and local food markets. Bite into artisanal cheeses from this area and sample chutney made by Juliet's neighbors, enjoy wine tasting at an award-winning winery, gather seasonal fruit and vegetables -- it doesn't get more local than this.

Everything you've gathered on your travels is used in an unforgettable cheese master-class experience at Juliet's own home overlooking Black Barn Vineyards. This is an amazing way to enjoy an authentic look at the area and live like a local for a day.

Time permitting, you can request a drop-off in downtown Napier for a walk through the town. Admire the beautifully-preserved Art Deco buildings before taking the shuttle bus back to the ship.
