Stockholm is one of the most beautiful cities in the world -- a smorgasbord of attractive buildings and landscapes with a history stretching back 750 years. Besides its rich culture, Stockholm is known for its exciting food scene. Thanks to a culinary boom, innovative restaurants and bars are popping up on virtually every corner.

Enjoy a delicious gastronomic journey as you follow your guide through the old haymarket -- now the Hötorgshallen Food Market -- to sample traditional and cutting-edge Nordic and world cuisine. The market is located in the city center, next to the Concert Hall. The original market dates back to 1880s, but the current hall opened in 1958 to much fanfare. It's still a popular destination for local foodies, and for good reason. Whatever you crave -- burgers, kebabs, sushi -- you'll find it here among delicacies ranging from all points north to south, east to west, and everywhere in between.

One of the highlights of this delicious guided tour is sampling the pure flavors and high-quality ingredients of Nordic cuisine, including various types of herring, cured salmon, local cheese, aquavit and more.

Along the way, you will meet enthusiastic vendors and chefs with a true passion for what they do, and you'll learn about the history and culture of Sweden and its neighbors.

The return transfer to and from Stockholm city is unescorted. Wear comfortable walking shoes. The tour is not available on Sundays. Minimum age is 18 years.
