Eskifjörður is a charming seaside village. Note the ever-present Norwegian influence here -- the line of piers, waterfront structures, and colorfully-painted houses -- lending the town an immensely charming character.

Wander through the village with your guide and visit a local home. This is your chance to meet with the Eskifjörður's inhabitants and taste some local products.

Your tour ends with a photo stop outside the Maritime Museum, and from there it is just a short walk back to the ship. Guests who wish to stay in town to visit the museum (at your own expense) or explore independently are welcome to do so, but must make their own way back to the ship.

Wear comfortable walking shoes. Not advisable for guests with mobility limitations except with a companion to assist. This area is very remote, not all guides are professional but all have excellent knowledge of the area. Parents traveling with children under the age of 3 must rent a child's car seat from the tour operator. Please see the EXC Tours staff on board. You cannot use a car seat from the USA or elsewhere as it will not meet the stricter European safety standards.
