Approximately 4½ Hours
Discover the history and charm of Monaco during a fascinating walk through one of the world's smallest city-states. Perched above the Cote d'Azur, the Old Town boasts mesmerizing views of the Mediterranean Sea below and exudes an aura of elegance, combining Belle Epoque architecture with a stunning natural beauty.
You'll explore the Old Town on foot, passing impressive buildings such as the Oceanographic Museum, Saint Nicholas Cathedral, and the Prince's Palace. At the latter, watch the changing of the guards, which takes place each day at 11:55am.
Enjoy some free time to either window shop or seriously shop in the chic boutiques that line the streets.
Then, make your way to lunch at Castelroc -- perched, as the name implies, on the Rock of Monaco. This fourth-generation family restaurant opened in 1953 and is still one of Monaco's best-kept secrets. The locals like to keep it that way so that they don't have to share. A relaxed atmosphere and outdoor terrace provide a wonderful backdrop for traditional Monégasque cuisine and inventive Mediterranean dishes. The view is among the finest in Monaco, overlooking the palace and the sea.
After lunch, return to the pier with your guide. Guests who wish to stay in town to shop or explore independently are welcome to do so, but must make their own way back to the ship.
Wear comfortable walking shoes.
