Leave the pier for a delightful introduction to a charming town located in the northernmost part of Denmark. Skagen is a fishing town with a busy harbor -- a favorite with Danes and visitors alike.

Visit the Skagen Art Museum, featuring some famous paintings, drawings, sculptures and handicrafts all made by artists who lived in Skagen between 1830 and 1930. Skagen has always been a popular artist colony in Denmark, and the special light found only in this part of the country continues to attract up-and-coming artists looking for inspiration. After an introduction to the museum and some of the most significant painters from Skagen, you'll have some free time to explore the many paintings. Your guide will be available to answer any questions.

Continue north to Grenen, also known as Skagens Odde. This is where the North and Baltic Seas converge and you can experience standing with one foot in each sea. A tractor-pulled trolley will take you along the last stretch, out to the very tip of Denmark and of the European continent. A gateway as well as a land's end, this area attracts more than one million visitors every year. Enjoy the beautiful scenery before returning to the pier.
