Escape the bustling streets of Skagway and set a course for Burro Creek Lodge Waterfall Retreat -- a 120-acre rustic resort located just two miles across the water.

Nestled along the mystical coastline of Lynn Canal -- America's longest and deepest fjord -- Burro Creek offers breathtaking waterfalls, stunning viewpoints and an elegant off-the-grid wilderness dining experience. Privately owned and reached only by water and air, access is limited in order to preserve Burro Creek's pristine beauty and eco-system. For more than a hundred years this has been the well-kept secret hideaway for the people of Skagway.

Your tour begins with a quick boat transfer from Skagway, America's northernmost ice-free, deep-water port. Arriving at the Burro Creek dock, you will join your guide on the wooden footbridge for magnificent views of the harbor and fjord. A five-minute stroll brings you to the thunder and mist of Burro Creek's most spectacular waterfall. From here, if you like, you can join the on-site naturalist for a moderate hike to more waterfalls along the 1,400 feet of pipeline that feeds Burro Creek Lodge's hydroelectric system. The lodge produces its own electricity and has had a 35-year history of sustainability. Returning to the lodge, grab a beer or cocktail and roll up your sleeves for a Dungeness crab and shrimp boil, with andouille sausage, corn on the cob and potatoes all served with melted butter and oven-fired bread. To top it all off, dessert is a decadent double-chocolate brownie served with assorted fixings and topped with a marshmallow roasted over the campfire.

Come explore Burro Creek Lodge's waterfall wonderland. Steep your senses in scenic beauty and in a delicious feast of fresh-caught local seafood and accompanying beverages.
