At the King's Warehouse & Cultural Park, a destination guide leads you through authentic replicas of the stick, stone and wooden houses built by Bonaire's early inhabitants.
From Seru Largo, you'll take in a spectacular panoramic view of the island and your ship in port. On a clear day, you can also see Klein Curaçao in the distance.
Continue south to the salt ponds, which are now also a flamingo sanctuary. Learn how salt is produced today and how it was mined back in the 19th century. You will see and a touch a slice of history at the former slave huts -- these are the original huts used to shelter the slaves working the salt pans.
Wear comfortable walking shoes.
