Snorkel the Aquarium Garden
Local Sightseeing, All
Information not currently available.
Approximately 1 Hour
A local boat will depart the pier for a transfer over to the natural, open-water 'aquarium' for an exciting snorkeling experience. At one of the best snorkel spots on the atoll, admire the wonderful and colorful underwater world of tropical fish and coral formation.
Please note: Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, sunscreen and a hat. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. Snorkeling will operate directly from the boat; you will enter water that is too deep to stand in. Please note that swimming is restricted to the immediate area surrounding of the boat due to strong currents. Guests participating in water activities must know how to swim, be comfortable in the water and be able to cope with occasional currents. Depth of water is not guaranteed, due to currents and sea level variation. Please realistically assess your own ability prior to taking part in this water activity. For your own safety and to preserve the environment, when snorkeling, do not touch or step on the coral reef. Wear aqua shoes. Your guide will do his/her best to speak English, but please keep in mind that the limited tourism infrastructure here is part of the charm, and bear with any language difficulties he/she may encounter. Harmless black-tipped sharks may be present. Boat used may vary and is not guaranteed to be covered. Sailing on board a boat requires vigilance -- you must be physically aware of the boat environment and fit enough to negotiate steps and the vessel's accessways. Bring a bottle of water. Expensive jewelry or clothing should not be worn on tour. Camera equipment should be carried with care and appropriate waterproof protection. The boat may be wet -- personal belongings should be stored with caution. Sailing time may be reduced or altered dependent upon weather conditions and exceptional circumstances.
