Experience two premier attractions in the picturesque azure waters around Grand Turk -- pristine coral reef snorkeling and watching stingrays at play. Your tour begins at the cruise terminal where you will board a snorkel boat. The crew provides you with gear, as well as a safety briefing and instructions.

The first snorkel stop is a private, untouched reef off the coast of Grand Turk. This secluded haven is filled with pristine corals, sea fans, sponges and the bright tropical fish life of the Caribbean.

Watch for the reef’s famous residents -- Shaun, a docile 3½-foot nurse shark, and Harry, a curious three-foot-long barracuda. Join the boys in their habitat and watch the colorful antics of their marine neighbors.

A short boat ride, with a break for some refreshments, brings you to the stingray playground.

Stingrays will greet you as you enter the water, brushing past with a gentle wave of their wide wings. These wild, but gentle, Atlantic rays will let you stroke their soft bodies and play with them in their own territory. The water is shallow and crystal clear -- a perfect spot for memorable photographs.

Finally, you will ferry back to the cruise center, just a short ride away.

Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, sunscreen and a hat. Wear aqua shoes. Pregnant women and guests with heart problems or asthma are not allowed to participate. Waiver must be signed and medical conditions disclosed. Participants must climb a ladder to re-board the boat after snorkeling. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed.
