Begin your tour with a transfer from Waitangi Wharf to the Manginangina Boardwalk at the heart of the Puketi Forest.

Join your guide for a one-hour informative walk that leads you through a subtropical rain forest, alive with rich flora, fauna and colonial and Maori history. If they could talk, the ancient kauri trees would whisper tales of a millennium of standing sentinel over the abundant forest that seems to be bursting with wildlife.

Keep an eye out for New Zealand's endemic plants and noisy birdlife.

The highlight of your walk will be standing on the boardwalk set among a grove of magnificent kauri trees, some of which are up to 1,200 years old.

Enjoy a delicious morning tea during your visit.

Wear comfortable walking shoes. Bring a light jacket. Minimum age is 10 years.
