Your snuba instructor will meet you at the Grand Turk pier and escort you to a transport vehicle.

On a ride through historic Cockburn Town, learn more about this island, where it is believed that Columbus first made landfall in the New World.

An intimate beach setting, you’re ready to enjoy snuba -- a cross between snorkeling and scuba, which lacks the cumbersome equipment and lengthy training required for professional scuba diving.

Your instructor offers a 20-minute safety briefing where you will learn how to use the equipment and hand signals to communicate underwater.

Gear on, you are now ready to head down to the shore and kick off your underwater adventure.

Explore the water at a depth of 10 to 15 feet. Snuba allows you to breathe with a regulator, and swim freely without a tank on your back (the source of air floats in a small inflatable vessel above you.) It gives you a magnificent freedom that snorkeling can’t provide.

Your instructor will guide you, drawing your attention to the darting fish and their intricate corals homes.

Notes:

Minimum age is 8 years. Wear your swimsuit; bring a towel, sunscreen and a hat. Guests with heart problems, epilepsy, diabetes or asthma are not allowed to participate. Waiver must be signed and medical conditions disclosed.
