Adventurous at heart? Fantastic! Climb behind the wheel of a purpose-built, tubular-frame sand dune buggy for a thrilling experience that will endure in your memory for years to come. These buggies were designed especially for navigating the vast Peruvian sand dunes, but today they’re on Grand Turk and are waiting for you to take one for a spin.

Listen to a safety briefing before donning your helmet for the drive of a lifetime -- Grand Turk style.

Head off down the narrow tracks on Hawk’s Nest Plantation on the south-eastern side of the island.

Trek to the bluff at Gun Hill, where you will revel in the beautiful view of Gibb’s Cay and some of the uninhabited islands visible in the Atlantic Ocean.

Drive to the replica of John Glen’s Capsule located at the entrance to the International Airport.

Pass the many salinas that were used to farm salt in its natural form during the salt industry era. See charming little Cockburn Town -- the administrative and political capital of the Turks & Caicos Islands.

After catching a quick look at the capital, make your way to North Wells. You may be lucky to catch a glimpse of the famous and endangered pink flamingos that come seasonally to forage through the silted bottom of the Salinas, in search of brine shrimp and other tasty crustaceans.

Watch for the occasional wild horse roaming free on the island.

Pass North Creek -- a haven for boats during a hurricane -- en route to the lighthouse at the northernmost tip of the island.

Enjoy the view from the cliffs high above the Atlantic Ocean and take a short nature walk, before hopping back on your awaiting bus and traveling along Breezy Brae to the pier.
