Discover the mystical and breathtaking Las Ondas cenote (lagoon) on this adventure that starts just a short ride from the pier.

Listen to a safety briefing and start your unhurried, relaxing eco-walk into the Caribbean jungle. A dirt trail leads you through a tropical forest on the grounds of the ancient Taino Chiefdom of Higuey. You are accompanied by a very knowledgeable guide who will tell you all about the fauna, flora, the cenote, and the Taino, African and Dominican cultures. Along the way you will see some vivid representations and depictions of the Tainos, their rituals and the objects used in their daily lives.

Reaching the mouth of the cave, you will enter via a staircase leading to the awesome majesty and beauty of the crystal-clear waters of this underground cenote (lagoon). Take it all in before you head back to the excursion center.

Back on the coach, you'll head to the private Juanillo Beach -- a stunning, long stretch of beach where you will have time to relax, get involved in water sports (at your own expense) and you'll have time to swim if you wish. This is the most beautiful beach in Punta Cana, and it offers a beach bar and restaurant where you can purchase a beverage or snack. There is some limited shopping for arts and crafts at the excursion center and at the beach.

Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, sunscreen and a hat. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
