On a panoramic drive along the West Bay Peninsula, your guide offers a brief history of the Cayman Islands. (S)he will point out all the interesting sights, including the world-class hotels and condos that line Seven Mile Beach. This is indisputably one of the world's most spectacular beaches.

A brief stop outside the Governor's residence allows you to take photos from the coach.

Then, continue into West Bay for an outside view of the Old Homestead. This is an authentic piece of Cayman history -- a true Caribbean gingerbread house.

It's not your imagination it if it feels like your day is going to Hell. View the Caymans' most interesting limestone rock formations, with an equally interesting name, from a viewing platform. You'll learn a few possible explanations as to how this quite beautiful place earned its name. The silver lining? Mailing postcards to friends and family with a very, very distinctive postmark!

A stop at Heritage Beach -- gives you three hours to relax on the sand. Yes, indeed, this is a little slice of pure heaven.

The motorcoach will collect you when it's time to return to the ship.

Notes:

Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, sunscreen and a hat. Bring water shoes. Bring local currency, as many vendors do not accept credit cards or US dollars. Restrooms/changing rooms, showers, restaurants, a mini-museum and gift shop are within 100 yards. There is an ATM within walking distance.
