Rarotonga, Cook Islands
Aroa Beach Break
Information not currently available.
Approximately 3½ Hours
Visit the Aroa Lagoonarium -- a natural marine wonderland sheltered by the natural coral reef -- and experience some of the best snorkeling on Rarotonga. Meet the colorful, friendly tropical fish, and even feed the reef fish by hand. Snorkel (lessons available) in the lagoon or try out stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking (lessons available) to skim the water's surface above the reef fish. Learn how to play the ukulele and island log drums, dance the hula, tie a pareo or husk a coconut.
Take a walk along Aroa Beach, swim in the warm sea, or relax on the sun loungers. Feel free to use the facilities at The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Spa. Beach towels, showers, swimming pool, gym, tennis courts and more are open for your use.
A beach barbecue lunch is served with fresh fish sandwiches, a selection of island fruits and a glass of Sangria or a mocktail.
A percentage of all sales is donated to local marine conservation efforts. Tour requires intermittent effort, including walking medium distances over uneven surfaces (sand) and/or steps. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring sunscreen and a hat. Wear comfortable walking shoes. For your personal safety and to help preserve the environment, when snorkeling please do not touch or step on the coral reef. Water clarity and the presence of marine creatures cannot be guaranteed.
