Approximately 3½ Hours
Join a local historian/curator and lecturer in fine arts, architecture, history, and cultural tourism for an exclusive tour of marvelous Melbourne. (S)he will lead you on foot through the city's fascinating labyrinth of atmospheric arcades and alleyways, where you will discover lanes filled with trendy cafés and eclectic boutiques, not to mention some 'out-there' graffiti street art.
You will see the hand of progress as you encounter buildings that have been renewed and transformed, such as the old General Post Office. This tour is a wonderful way to discover Melbourne's architectural and cultural heritage.
Enjoy a late morning coffee at a local café, after which you can either remain in the city to perhaps visit a museum and explore other sights on your own, or return to the ship on the famous Melbourne tram (escorted by your historian guide).
Participants must be able to climb the steps to (dis)embark the tram.
