Indulge your sweet tooth and your sense of adventure with a three-hour excursion to the Bois Cotlette Plantation, considered the best-preserved example of plantation architecture on the island.
Meet your guide upon arrival and begin a leisurely walk through the picturesque grounds. Enjoy a taste of authentic Bois Cotlette rum punch as you stroll past factory ruins, gardens, the owners and slave dwellings, as well as around various archaeological digs. Learn how cocoa pods are fermented, dried, roasted and ground, then transformed into cocoa powder, cocoa butter and chocolate.
Next, make your way to the test kitchen to see how large dark chocolate blocks are tempered and turned into mouth-watering treats. Then, make your own delicious delight followed by a walk through the Planter's Herb Garden.
Finally, rejoin your coach for the scenic ride back to your ship.
